چکیده
The wound healing activity of ethanol extract of Terminalia bellirica Roxb. fruit was evaluated on excision and incision wound model, in albino rats, in the form of an ointment with two concentrations (2 and 4% w/w ointment) of fruit extract in simple ointment base. Both concentrations of the ethanol extract showed significant response in both the wound types tested when compared with the control group. Nitrofurazone ointment (0.2%w/w) was used as standard

Free Radical Scavenging Activity of Bark of Terminalia Bellirica
Terminalia bellirica Roxb belongs to the family Combretaceae, is distributed throughout the deciduous forests of India. The petroleum ether, chloroform, ethanol and aqueous extracts of the bark of Terminalia bellirica were screened for free radical scavenging activity against DPPH, ABTS, superoxide, nitric oxide, hydroxyl and hydrogen peroxide radicals. The scavenging activity was found to be d...
متن کاملEvaluation of antidepressant-like activity of aqueous and ethanolic extracts of Terminalia bellirica Roxb. fruits in mice.
The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of aqueous and ethanolic extracts of T. bellirica on depression in mice using forced swim test (FST) and tail suspension test (TST). The extracts were administered orally for 10 successive days in separate groups of Swiss young male albino mice. Aqueous extract (50, 100 and 200 mg/kg) in a dose-dependent manner and ethanolic extract (10...

متن کاملEvaluation and Quantification of Angiogenesis Activity of Terminalia Bellirica Roxb, by Mice Sponge Implantation Method
Angiogenesis represents an excellent therapeutic target for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It is a potent physiological process that underlies the natural manner in which our bodies respond to a diminution of blood supply to vital organs, namely the production of new collateral vessels to overcome the ischemic state. This present study is aimed to evaluate and quantify the Angiogenic...
